Spotting

So I starting spotting a bit today after waking up this a.m and (TMI) having a b.m. I'm totally freaking out. Its not much at all but after I wiped there was brown on the tp. I put on a pantie liner and have since had a little bit of brown on there and have only had a tad on the tp when I go to the bathroom now. Sometimes I wont have any at all. I know this is common in early pg but talk me down girls... I'm freaking out here. No cramps, no nothing. I figured it was just from the b.m. this morning but still... I'm nervous and so worried right now.

From what I know, if it is brown it is a good thing. When I had my miscarriage the spotting was bright red from the get-go. I would think that at this point brown spotting would be from your uterus stretching.

I know that it is so scary and I'm so sorry that you are having to deal with this. Just try to take it easy and rest.

Brown is definitely a good thing... Also a light pink is ok... If it is BRIGHT Red, like the color of AF when fullest..call Dr...

I know it is scary, especially since all of the IF stuff, but as cliche as it sounds, please try to stay calm and relax...

MERRY CHRISTMAS also!

I know you're scared but I remember having some brown spotting when I was pregnant and I went full term with no issues. Have you had sex? That could cause it also from a tender cervix.

If you are really worried call your doctor. Brown, no cramping, is all a good thing. I would be very scared too, but try and relax.

((hugs)) Merry Christmas!

Brown blood indicates OLD blood. So, you are not actually bleeding, just when your bean burrows in deeper and starts stretching, your uterus might be getting rid of some old blood.

When do you go to the doctor? Maybe you can call just so they can assure you nothing is wrong.

Hang in there, I know bleeding brown or red is always alarming and worrisome.

Like everyone else said, I'm sure a little bit of brown blood is nothing to worry about. I understand why you would be worried after having to wait so long for this pregnancy, though. (((HUGS)))

I spotted with my IVF pregnancy. Spotting is OKAY hunny. It's so normal. Lots of cramping and bright red blood flow is not good. But spooting? Especially after the "pushing" of a bm? Normal hun. NORMAL. Stop freaking out. :)

Jayme..don't worry about it! The same thing happened to me and it's very scary! It's normal..and brown is good because it means it's old blood..it's only bright red blood that you should worry about! Don't stress, it's not good for you or the baby either! Everything is fine girl!

I agree with ppl. when I had my m/c it was bright red, however when I was pregnant last year at this time (about as far along as you) I had some bright red spotting, but now have a 4 mo old little boy sleeping in his crib upstairs right now. I spotted thw wholefirst trimester. Hopefully you wont, it sucked so bad even though everything turned out okay. I just wanted to enjoy and couldnt, I was constantly reserved and terrified.
U/S showed a (omg did I forget...) I want to say a hematoma adjecent to the placenta, but had nothing to do with the baby. (Thank Gawd).
Praying for you and that all is well.

I had some spotting, even some more reddish spotting. But I was obsessed w/ checking the TP. I didn't have much spotting either, but I called the doctor as soon as it happened the first time. They did bloodwork, and u/s, and baby was still doing great, and they increased my progesterone. I say call your on call number for you doctor, but it's probably nothing to worry about, many people spot at the beginning.

Jayme...will you post an update? I keep checking on you to make sure all is still well. I'm sure there is nothing to worry about but I just want to make sure you're okay.
