This blog is about my daily thoughts, rants, and everything in between, but the most part it's about infertility and now my journey through motherhood.
It took me a long time to find/figure that out too! It's done so that if someone happens to Go.ogle the term, or search for it your post won't show up for people to see. (That's what I figure, anyway.)
I've never specifically been told that, but I think Sherry is right. It keeps people from stumbling on your blog. In reality, if you search a really common word, you'll probably get so many listings, that you could never go through them all. Wa.lmart (for example) yields over 17 million results. If someone is searching it, they'll probably stop at the local listings. Another thought is to keep people from spamming your blog with ads. I've recently learned that they can search almost any phrase though, so word verification helps. (though i think it's a hassle)
I have wondered that also! Thanks for asking :) Hope you are feeling better.
Yep, Sherry is right, it's so google doesn't pick it up.
I do it so I can avoid people who I knew (or even didn't for that matter) who googled those similar things they wouldn't stumble across my whiney TMI filled blog :)
Looks like your question got answered! :) I wondered this forever too!
